I’m the founding dentist of Lume Dental and I love my job! I’m a local product and took my schooling at the University of Alberta. Dentistry is a symbiotic relationship of art and science that allows me to be a lifelong learner and craftsman – it never gets boring. I enjoy getting to meet new people as well as engage with those I’ve developed a long-time relationship with. Aside from work I like to try my hand at a multitude of craft activities, and I enjoy staying active and enjoying nature. You’ll probably come across me running, biking, or walking around our beautiful city.

Meet Patty!
Patty is a registered Dental Assistant who has been in the dental field for 14 years. Previously residing in Calgary, Patty moved to Red Deer a year ago to be with her fiancé.
Patty received her training and certification at NAIT and continues to take continuing education courses to ensure that she keeps her skills up to date. Last year, Patty became a certified IV sedation assistant, and she looks forward to bringing her skills to Lume Dental.
Patty was inspired to become a dental assistant after receiving dental treatments that changed her life. Following treatments, Patty was able to smile more often and with confidence. It changed her life, and she enjoys being able to help change the lives of others now too.
When Patty is not busy at work, she prides herself on maintaining a healthy lifestyle with her family and her son. Patty and her fiancé do a lot of 10k and 21k races during the summer, so you might see her out running in the community!

Chrissy has been working in the dental industry for over 20 years, with a few years off while she was raising her children. Chrissy got into dentistry because she is passionate about helping people. She is passionate about her work and enjoys working with insurance companies and helping patients understand the insurance and billing processes. When she is not busy at the clinic, you can find Chrissy working out, hiking in the mountains, and spending time with her family and friends.
